The Great Investors’ Best Ideas Foundation (GIBI), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, was started in 2007 for the purpose of creating a premier investment event to benefit two worthy causes, The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research and the Vickery Meadow Youth Development Foundation.
Event expenses for the investment symposium are fully underwritten by GIBI’s founders, John Neill and Frederick “Shad” Rowe. All proceeds raised through this event are donated to these two deserving organizations. Due to the generosity of many donors, GIBI has donated over $6 million to its beneficiaries throughout its five-year history.

The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research does whatever it takes to accelerate the development of treatments for Parkinson’s disease — a chronic, degenerative neurological disorder that afflicts about one in 100 people over age 60.

The Vickery Meadow Youth Development Foundation provides academic programs and enrichment opportunities for the children and youth of a highly diverse, low-income neighborhood in Dallas.
